Virtual Boot Camp Policy and Refunds
Please read the following information before you enroll your student in a College Prep Genius class.
Our virtual boot camps have limited seats in each class. Your paid tuition reserves a seat, so there are NO refunds. If a student misses one or more classes, he or she can watch any recorded classes. The price of a seat is for an individual student only. Siblings must have their own paid registration.
- Students are responsible for attending class.
- Please notate class date, and time on your calendar.
Class Day Policy
- 1Students need to log in early with their FIRST and LAST names. (If they cannot log in, they should log out and enter in with the correct name.)
- 2We recommend logging in 10-15 minutes before class starts.
- 3Please allow time to check all technology before the first day of class. This includes checking your computer or device, internet, electricity, Adobe Connect connections and logins, etc. Contact support@collegeprepgenius.com with technology questions or concerns.
- 4To help ensure a successful class experience, please create a distraction-free area before joining the online class.
- 5Have all your class materials ready.
- 6If you have a technical problem, use the tech box to find the answer. Do not use chat box for this.
- 7The class is for paid students only.
- 8The class is interactive, and students are expected to participate by answering questions, entering workbook answers, and answering random poll questions. This information is recorded and available upon request.
Class Materials
- 1Several sharpened pencils
- 2Calculator
- 32024 College Prep Genius Workbook*
- 4Headphones (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to remove distractions and elevate the class experience.)
- 5Yellow (erasable) highlighters (SAT/PSAT Class)
*The class purchase price includes the College Prep Genius Workbook and will be shipped in advance. Parents and students are responsible for ensuring all materials, including books, are secured before the first day of class. Please purchase registration at least three days before the scheduled class, so material(s) can be shipped before the first day of class.
For three-day classes, there will be several five-minute breaks, and students are responsible for being back at their computers or devices before class resumes.
College Prep Genius is not responsible for any technology or internet issues. We know this is a possibility and cannot be helped, but students will still have access to the taped classes in such scenarios. All technology, website, and virtual class questions must be directed to support@collegeprepgenius.com
Attendance
The College Prep Genius online platform can track your activities online, and you will be expected to log in to your course early and participate in the interactive course. Federal regulation on distance learning defines attendance in online classes as active participation in an online discussion forum, digital submission of a writing assignment, or completion of a quiz/test/exam.
Online Code of Conduct
Students can express themselves and participate freely in an online class. However, they are expected to treat each other and the instructor courteously and respectfully. Offensive or inappropriate language should not be used in communication, e.g., emails, discussion postings, or the chat box.
The discussion area of the course is reserved for postings related to coursework only. Postings of a personal or non-academic nature are not permitted and may be removed by the instructor should they appear. Personal issues should be handled by private email to the instructor.
Emails to the instructor that are considered offensive or inappropriate will be sent back to the writer with a request to rewrite and resubmit.
Need to Know
Online courses are not easier than face-to-face classes. Many times, students’ expectations of online classes are that they are less work or easier. The fact is you will be engaged more frequently in the online class and be responsible for logging in early and correctly with your full name as well as participating in the questions and polls.
Additional Information about Live Virtual Boot Camp
- 1All classes are recorded for the student’s benefit. By participating in this class, you are giving College Prep Genius permission to record the class. This allows you to review any or all of the class sessions or watch if you missed a class. Classes will be accessible as long as the student membership is active.
- 2The system also tracks and records a student’s participation and can create reports for the parent upon request.
- 3The class is limited to one seat per paid tuition. Siblings can receive their own login link at a discounted price. The sibling will need their own device to log in and their own materials, as it is impossible to share these and participate properly.
- 4To ensure accurate class roll attendance, students must log in with their first and last names so the system can identify them as registered and paid participants. (If they don’t do this, they must log out and log back in.)
- 5Students’ full names will be shown if/when they ask questions. These names are neither shared nor sold with anyone nor available to be viewed by anyone not in the class.
- 6Students will need to participate by logging their answers and taking occasional polls. This is not only to enhance interaction but also to record participation.
Please note: College Prep Genius does not guarantee instant success. After the virtual boot camp, we recommend spending adequate time outlined in the Course Homework Guide/Practicum to learn the College Prep Genius patterns and strategies and practice accordingly.
Success Guideline Synopsis

- 4Follow the Daily Homework Guide/Practicum: watch online lessons, do the assigned homework, keep records in your Journal for Success, and observe the Checklist for Success. (Seriously, homework is pertinent for reinforcing the test-taking techniques and internalizing the strategies so they can be applied appropriately.)
- 5Complete quizzes with a passing grade.
- 6Finish the virtual boot camp by completing all coursework and reviewing taped classes as necessary.
- 7Retake SAT Digital Test #1 (or take CLT #3) and note improvement.
- 8Take many (15-25) actual, timed, full-length practice tests.
- 9Schedule several real tests until you reach test success (i.e., your desired score)!
We HIGHLY recommend taking and finishing the boot camp/class AND doing all the follow-up work at least three months before an actual test. This includes reviewing the class recordings more than once, doing all the homework and quizzes, and practicing and recording missed questions in the Journal for Success.

In-Person Boot Camp Policy
Please read the following information before you enroll your student in a College Prep Genius class.
We HIGHLY recommend taking and completing the boot camp/class and doing all the follow-up work at least three months before an actual test. This includes reviewing the course materials more than once, doing all the homework and quizzes, and practicing and recording missed questions in the Journal for Success.
In-Person Refund Policy
A refund is issued when the minimum number of participants has not been reached for a College Prep Genius live, in-person boot camp class. This number is usually ten to twelve full-tuition students (Continental US). Please reserve your seat by the posted deadline. Open spaces are limited at the boot camp class so we can give each student a highly interactive, invaluable, and personal experience. Please don’t wait until the last minute to sign up because space is limited. A boot camp class may be canceled earlier, possibly a month before the boot camp date if the minimum number of students is unmet.
No Refunds for Reserved Seats
Once a class has reached the minimum number of students, College Prep Genius does not offer refunds for its live, in-person boot camp classes. By paying, you are reserving your spot. College Prep Genius invests in each hosted class by booking airfare, hotels, and other travel arrangements in advance. You may transfer your class tuition to another class, or if you cannot find another class in your area, you are more than welcome to use your credit on the College Prep Genius website.
There are no partial refunds for students who attend part of a boot camp class.

Master the SAT/ACT On-Demand Video eCourse Policy
eCourse Refund Policy
We at College Prep Genius believe in our on-demand eCourse program. If, within 30 days, you do not feel the on-demand eCourse is working for you, we will give you a full refund, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. This is risk-free, so order and learn the steps to greatly improve your test scores! We will process refunds within one week of providing you with a return authorization. Partial refunds will be offered for materials that are damaged, written in, and unable to re-sell. Otherwise, you will receive a refund in the form of payment originally made.
As of March 2024, the College Board revamped the SAT/PSAT tests. Our on-demand videos are still applicable for the ACT.
Success Guideline Synopsis
- 1Take “Old” SAT Test #1 for your ACT baseline score before you start watching the on-demand video class: CollegePrepGenius.com/sat-practice-tests.
- 2Watch the intro videos about getting started, downloading books, and organizing the class notebook.
- 3Follow the Daily Homework Guide: watch online lessons, do the adjacent homework, and observe the Checklist for Success. (Seriously, homework is pertinent for reinforcing test-taking techniques and internalizing strategies.)
- 4Complete quizzes with a passing grade.
- 5Retake Old SAT Test #1 and notate improvement
- 6Go back through eCourse at least 2-3 times.
- 7Take many (15-25) actual, timed, full-length tests.
- 8Schedule several real tests until desired score is reached.
We HIGHLY recommend going through the eCourse AND doing all the follow-up work at least three months before an actual test. This includes reviewing the eCourse more than once, doing all the homework and quizzes, practicing, and recording missed questions in the Journal for Success.
Since students only retain a small percentage of information the first time it is introduced, they must review it several times until it is solidified. Once the strategies and the logical patterns are internalized, students must take 15-25 (or more) full-length timed real practice tests. Accuracy before speed!
The class is an introduction, the eCourse helps with proficiency, and practicing tests brings mastery!
